What do you enjoy the most about the work you do?
I enjoy getting in the trenches with a team of people that look at benefits as an investment, not an expense. It is very rewarding to set a clear vision, and deliver a plan that helps a client enhance culture, attract and retain talent, and drive company performance.
How do you make life better for your clients?
This will shock some people, but we have clients that despise benefits. I know! Our team is always looking for ways to making our clients lives a little easier, benefits a little simpler, budgets a little tighter, and employees a little happier... Managing trend, driving the perceived value of our client's benefit investment.
What's are you most proud of at LHD?
Our executive team is focused on four points of recognition. We want to improve our NPS score, earn recognition from Best Places to Work, grow our employee wellbeing program under Achieve Well, and end the year as one of the top 10% of agencies in the country. We have met these standards over the years, but this year we hit a new high! United Benefit Advisors membership voted LHD the organization's most valuable player, awarding us with their coveted Partner of the Year award!
What's a fun fact about yourself that surprises others?
I am an introvert, with a life full of people I care about. I prefer small crowds of close connections.
What's the one album you'd take to a deserted island?
One album on a deserted island? Can't we count on today's advancements in satellite technology to solve for something this important?
What's something from your bucket list?
Build or restore a wooden boat.
